As population is increasing, so is the competition. With such a rapid increase in competition, all employed people are always on their toes. Whether it’s to impress the boss or to stay abreast with latest techniques in your field, you run around a lot and work so hard that you return home exhausted. So exhausted, that as soon as you lie down on a bed, you fall asleep. But there is a very fine line between being a dedicated professional to being a workaholic. So how do you know which category you fall under?
By asking yourself a few simple questions:-
1) Do you have time left for your friends and family?
If yes, then you know how to balance your personal and professional life well. If your answer is no and if it feels like an obligation to meet friends and leave work aside, then you’re probably a workaholic.
2) Do you go on vacations?
If yes, then you’re on the right track. You work because you want to earn money and you earn money so that you can let yourself enjoy the simple materialistic pleasures of life. If your answer was negative, you should probably take an off for at least two three days. Taking a holiday is good for your health and most of the times it refreshes you completely.
3) Can you handle other areas of your personal life competently?
If the answer to this question is negative, you should stop and plan. Choose one day when you’d pay all your bills and clear all dues.
