It’s easy to just stay inside your little world and not worry about the big one you live in. Despite the benefits, no one should be completely alone. Maybe you feel like you should embrace and learn to live in the world. Here are some suggestions as to how to go about that.
Start off with something your familiar with. A lot of reasons people don’t feel the need to get out of their comfort zone is because they are afraid of unfamiliarity. If that’s the only thing that’s holding you back, and then start off with something you’re used to, only change it up a little bit by involving others.
For example, say you like to read books. It’s a great time for relaxation, but you don’t really have anyone to talk to about what you’ve read. Join a book club so you can get something extra out of what you read as you involve yourself with others who like to read as well.
Take baby steps. It’s ok to inch your way out of your comfort zone. It’s not a race. Try a new food at least every other week. Take a walk instead of taking a nap. Small and subtle differences are a great way to change without feeling the exhausting effects.
All in all, the effort you put into getting out of your comfort zone is up to you. The more effort you give yourself, the more you’ll find that the outside world isn’t such as bad place.
